East Shore Veterinary Hospital in Branford, CT is an AAHA accredited full service companion well-known animal hospital in whole Madison, CT. Our Mission is to provide quality veterinary care for all patients with service excellence to all clients, in a compassionate and professional environment. East Shore has been providing care to pets on the shoreline for more than 50 years!

We believe in educating our clients so you can make informed health care decisions for your pets. Our health care recommendations are based on guidelines provided by the leading veterinary organizations – the American Animal Hospital Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. You can be assured that you are receiving the most current and relevant medical information.

We offer a wide range of professional vet services, including complete puppy and kitten care, medical, dental, and surgical care which are all done on the premises. In addition to cats and dogs, we also provide care for ferrets, rabbits, pocket pets, lizards, and turtles. Appointments with a veterinarian or the medical staff are available Monday through Saturday. We have a wide range of diagnostic tools at our facility, including x-ray, blood testing, and microscopy. In addition, our veterinarians have access to specialists and referral hospitals to provide you with in-house consultations when needed.

Dr. Kelly Shanley

Born in Buffalo, New York, Dr. Kelly Shanley moved to Connecticut prior to attending high school in North Branford. She then went on to study at Southern and Central Connecticut State Universities, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry. During undergraduate school, Dr. Shanley worked locally as a veterinary technician. In 2006, Dr. Shanley pursued her dream of practicing Veterinary Medicine by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also sought additional training in Shelter Medicine and has worked for some capacity with animal rescue organizations since 2002. Dr. Shanley has recently begun a new adventure into Integrative Medicine, specifically Acupuncture, combining TCVM and Western Medicine to maximize patient care. Dr. Shanley lives in North Haven with her husband, three children, two cats (Jack Jack and Aubie) and two dogs (Ash and Georgia).

Dr. Rebecca Murray

Dr. Rebecca Murray was born in England but raised here in Connecticut. She has lived in Branford with her husband for over 30 years. She graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine 2001. She has been a practicing veterinarian in the area for the last 17 years. She enjoys drawing and painting in her spare time.
